A child-led play learning approach that stimulates curiosity
We believe, and strongly advocate children being in an environment that allows child-led play. As trained Level 3 Forest School leaders our team of professionals act as observers and facilitators of play, rather than offering dictated teaching regimes. We offer a range of hands-on activities that help children develop practical skills while enjoying the great outdoors. Our Forest School encourages children to become independent learners, and develop social & communication skills, self-esteem, confidence and emotional Literacy. Our sites provide access to risky play activities that test children's boundaries and build resilience.

We pride ourselves on being a trauma-informed setting and support many children from looked-after children to those with diverse SEND needs. Forest School is a very therapeutic provision for all children.
We use an award-winning parent app for communication and to show you all the adventures your children have been on, called the Famly app! Our team are dedicated to inspiring children’s love of nature, and supporting their growth and development in a safe, nurturing and stimulating natural setting.

A pure Forest School offering
Forest School provisions are growing all the time, many Nurseries & Schools also offer forest school now. Unfortunately, many settings say they offer forest school but many rarely follow the true forest school ethos. Our Forest School programme follows the six principles of the Forest School ethos. These include:

-
Forest School is a long-term process of frequent and regular sessions
-
Forest School takes place in a woodland or natural wooded environment to support the development between the learner and the natural world
-
Forest School aims to promote the holistic development of all those involved, fostering resilient, confident, independent and creative learners
-
Forest School offers learners the opportunity to take supported risks appropriate to the environment and themselves
-
Forest School is run by qualified forest school practitioners who continuously maintain and develop their professional practice
-
Forest School uses a range of child-centred processes to create a community for development and learning
Hi, I'm Nicky
I can't wait to welcome your child to Kids Go Wild!
My educational background started with a BA Hons in Early Childhood Studies at Manchester Metropolitan University, and a PGDE in Liverpool to become a qualified teacher.
Here, I went to Sweden with LJMU and experienced true Scandanavian Forest School which is where my inspiration was born!
I have over 15 years of experience working in Early Years settings and schools. I've slowly moved away from mainstream education. I started Kids Go Wild in 2018 and haven't looked back.
I now also have my own two young children that I home-educate!
